This koi was introduced last year when it was 2sai. Its Beni is very unique and contain brightness and shining in beni. In addition, asagi zumi is well placed as patter on body.
Above movie was filmed when it was 2sai. And today, it is harvested as 3sai, 65cm! When I picked up from mud pond, I was soooo excited. It became more attractive because it remained beauty since last year and add presence. But it is still 3sai. How it will be in the future. . . amazing . . .
I would like to introduce this Showa, 2sai, 54.5cm today. This is one out of 400pcs which we harvested on 9th. As you can find she has dynamic sumi on trunk and it has very good Hi and Sumi patter in front and back. This showa is dynamic and unique! Beni quality is very good and it seems that body structure still have room to grow. We can expect more on this showa.
We exhibited two Showa which are related to new male parent at Yumeten in All Japan Koi Show.
We are confident of these fishes. They have very special Beni and Sumi quality.
Those are Showa with appeal.
As you can find from the other poset, one of them will be exhibited at Uosui event on Feb 13th.
I wish many of you come to event and enjoy this Nishikigoi
Mitsunori: Today, we would like to start with a report of our developing nisaidate.
We have 60 koi in this mud pond that sizes about 1 983.47square meter.
It’s been passed 3 weeks since we started feeding them. Even though we give them little food for now, they are getting bigger.
At such times, we feed them the small amount of food, which isn’t satisfied its appetite, five times a day.
I wish that they would grow into 55cm to 60cm long in this autumn.
Eat more, Get bigger!
Today, we are going to stock the mud pond with our high class nisaidate.
They are Showa that have expanded to about 35 cm to 40 cm long.
They inherit the genes from the children of Tepodon and Kuro.
We are going to release about 60 Koi in this pond. Mitsunori: We are all hoping these koi will be large, aren’t we, Hidemasa-kun? Hidemasa: Evidently. It is possible to expand their size by Mitsunori’s skill. Mitsunori: Hahaha. Hidemasa: I can’t wait to see them growing up. Mitsunori: Please eat a lot of food and get larger.
Please look forward to seeing them in this autumn.
We are going to stock koi in this pond.
Now the Mitsunori’s best choices are captured with the net and put into the pond.
They are all potential tosai of Isa Koi Farm. Hidemasa: How big will these koi be in this coming autumn? Mitsunori: I hope they will become 60 cm long. Supposedly, the average length is expected to be 55cm. Hidemasa: Let’s hope for the best.
Like this, we usually release koi in such an unstable position for the bird net.
We came here to release these koi today.
This pond sizes 4,744yd2. Koi are pleasantly swimming in the pond. Hidemasa: Mitsunori-kun, how do you think these koi will be? Mitsunori: Well, we put 60 koi in the pond, its number is less than last year. I think they will be developed in this coming autumn. Please wait for them with great expectations.
I’m sorry that you can’t see koi in the cloudy water. Oh, over there. Hidemasa: Speaking of which, it’s still been cold in Niigata, but do you think koi in mud ponds can handle it? Mitsunori: it’s too cold! Hidemasa: Right. Mitsunori: I can’t believe I’m still wearing a knitted cap and a down jacket in the middle of May. Hidemasa: (Laughing) Mitsunori: I just can’t help it. It’s abnormal weather. Hidemasa: Mitsunori-kun, however, has a good skill of keeping Nishikigoi so it will be ok.
Today, we are going to stock this pond with sansai tategoi.
Kohaku that are raised in this mud pond often turn out to be beautiful.
Although we don’t have many Kohaku, we release more potential Kohaku than usual in this pond.
The bigger pond sizes about 2,965yd2. We will release 35 koi.
We hope that these koi will eat a lot during this coming autumn and grow larger.
These are Tosai which were checked gender 50days ago.
We released 35pcs into 8t pond. We feed them 5 times in a day and supply koi food which is around 1.5% of koi weight. We try to grow them bigger while sunshine become stronger from March to May because we don’t have much sun light during winter. The final size will be different but in our case, it will be around 30 to 40cm.
